QA Tester (Quality Assurance Tester)

Full-time On-Site (Surat) Tester

📌 Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Tester to join our team. You will be responsible for manually and/or automatically testing software to identify bugs, verify functionality, and ensure the quality and stability of applications before they go live. Your role is critical in maintaining a seamless user experience and catching issues early in the development cycle.

🎯 Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze system specifications and requirements documents.
  • Create, maintain, and execute detailed, comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand features and resolve issues.
  • Perform manual testing for mobile, web, and/or desktop applications.
  • Run automated test scripts (if applicable) using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
  • Ensure that products meet quality standards before release.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives).
  • Provide clear documentation and reporting of test results and quality metrics.

✅ Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role.
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Zephyr).
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

✨ Nice to Have

  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Postman).
  • Familiarity with performance or load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Knowledge of databases and ability to write basic SQL queries.
  • Experience testing APIs and using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
  • ISTQB or similar QA certification.
